			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship Series, (BSRKC), starts its seventh year this weekend at 3-S Go Karts in Sutton on Saturday, May 19 to Monday, May 21.  Saturday is the official practice day.  Controlled practice starts at 9:00 am till 6:00 pm.  The classes racing on Sunday are: Rotax Mini-Max, Rotax/TaG Junior, Rotax/TaG Senior, Rotax DD2, F125 ICC / Moto, Junior Medium, and Senior Medium.  Please note that the Senior Medium is now an official class in the BSRKC series.  The Steward, Mike Brittain, will be posting the announcement in a Bulletin on the BSRKC website.  Sunday’s races will be followed immediately by an open practice for Monday’s classes until sundown.   The classes racing on Monday are: Novice, Junior Lite, Junior Heavy, Senior Lite, Senior Heavy and Masters.</p>
<p>Practice and pre-registration is available at the Sutton track all week.  Registration opens on Sunday and Monday morning at 7:00 am.  The entry fee per class is $85.00.  The entry form is posted in the SCHEDULE section on the website at <a href="http://www.BSRKC.com">http://www.BSRKC.com</a> .  The details for the host hotel, and alternative accommodations, are also posted there.  The track configuration is Senna, and will be raced in the counter clockwise direction.</p>
<p>The generous sponsors for this event are <strong>CRS Contractors Rental Supply</strong>-Aurora &amp; Paul Cormier, <strong>Cummins Hydraulics Ltd., Newmarket</strong> &amp; John Cummins, and <strong>NORTRAX Shanty Bay</strong> &amp; Rod Thompson.   As is customary for all BSRKC events, all classes with ten plus entries receive cash prizes.  First place receives $175.00, second place receives $75.00, and third place receives $50.00.  Trophies are also presented to first, second and third places in all of the classes.  Special draw prizes sponsored by <strong>401 Dixie Nissan/Infiniti</strong> and Peter Geer, will be drawn on Sunday and Monday during trophy presentations.</p>
<p>The BSRKC series started in 2006 and in its seventh year continues to be the most affordable regional kart racing series in Ontario.  The Principals and Organizers of the series, together with the Steering Committee, and the two hosting clubs of Simcoe and Waterloo, have maintained the tradition of presenting a very competitive racing schedule that stays mindful of every karter’s budget.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Dan Wheldon passed away at the helm of his Indy Car on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. 15 cars in total were involved in the massive pile-up that sent more than one driver to hospital. Dan was not able to survive his injuries and leaves behind his wife and two children.</p>
<p>Our thoughts are with his family.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In race #9 of the season, Matthew Di Leo of Brian Stewart Racing took 7th place on the 4.048 mile course at Road America, after having begun 10th on the grid. The double header in Elkhart Lake, WI saw Matthew begin the next day on the outside of the fourth row and finish in 6th spot, just over 30 minutes later. His top speed in race #10 of the season was 104.389 MPH.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Matthew Di Leo of Brian Stewart Racing picked up a combined 32 points this weekend towards the USF2000 Drivers&#8217; Championship and another 18 points towards the team championship. Matthew finished a respectable 6th place in the first race and an even better 5th place in the second, crossing the finish line less than 6 seconds after the race winner. His best time of 1:23.174 was just 1.267 seconds off of the fastest lap.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It was a great day for golf at the exclusive Briars Golf Club on the southern shores of Lake Simcoe  when an eager group of golfing/racing enthusiasts took to the greens for a day of fun (and some frustration too).</p>
<h1><strong>The BIG Winners </strong></h1>
<p>It&#8217;s hard to really say who the big winners were &#8211; we had a ton of great prizes &#8211; but here goes&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>The Ultimate Grand Prize </strong>- winners of four custom-made, one-of-a-kind racing chairs with the title &#8220;BSR Golf Champion 2010&#8243; as well as bragging rights for a full year: the foursome of Jay Millen, Gary Stroud, Mike Roche and John Simioni.</p>
<p><strong>Longest Drive Competition</strong> &#8211; winner of an Ultimate Grand Prix Adventure driving a racing car, courtesy of Wings and Slicks: Gibby Gray</p>

<p>There was an abundance of great draw prizes too: green fees for four courtesy of Orchard Beach Golf and Country Club, CD&#8217;s from Warner Music Canada as well as Grandstand Tickets and Pit Passes for the Toronto Honda Indy, courtesy of Firestone.</p>
