Janet Stewart-Lussier
Janet combines more than 20 years of experience coaching corporate leaders with her lifetime of involvement in Brian Stewart Racing to provide a truly unique leadership development program!
Janet Stewart-Lussier grew up at the race tracks alongside her dad, polishing his cars, running the stopwatches and watching him cross the finish line first. Early in her career, she watched him carefully groom the next generation of drivers and lead them to victories.
Janet has gone on to become an expert in her own industry, working with corporations across North America, helping them to create high-performance work teams. As the CEO of NRL Group Incorporated and founder of Let's Talk TeamBuilding, she has spent her career helping her clients to achieve better business results and improve their operations, through investing in their most valuable asset - their people!
Building effective working teams is a hot topic in today's workplace and Janet is an expert in the area of leading teams with more than 20 years of experience in both the public and private sectors. She is a dynamic master facilitator and trainer and is a highly skilled proponent of learner-centered training.
Janet and Brian have combined forces to create the Brian Stewart Racing Leadership Academy - a truly one-of-a-kind leadership development program that takes you behind the scenes of one of the most respected teams in auto racing. Janet has designed a unique learning agenda that combines best practices in team leadership with the realities of running an auto racing team.
Janet facilitates face-to-face teambuilding workshops and keynote sessions throughout the year covering personal effectiveness and teambuilding topics such as leadership, teamwork, communications, meeting effectiveness, change management, innovation and customer service. She has appeared as a guest speaker at events across the country and than 10,000 employees in a wide variety of industries and job functions have participated in her learner-centered workshops.
As an employee development consultant, Janet has worked with such organizations as The City of Ottawa, The Government of the Northwest Territories, The Canadian Council on Learning, Health Canada, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Canada Post, The Ottawa Hospital, Agrifinance/AgriCard, Corel, Stratos, Royal Bank, the Canadian Union of Skilled Workers, Pharma Science, Bell Canada, MDS Nordion, TRGiSKY, Alcan, The Algonquin College Management and Corporate Training Centre, the Association of Canadian Community Colleges, Nexient Learning, PGF Consultants Incorporated and DMHS Consultants Incorporated.
A member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers (CAPS), Janet is active in many leadership capacities and was the President of the Ottawa Chapter in 2008. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the National Capital Region of Canadian Women in Communication. In addition to a number of teaching certifications, Janet has a Diploma in Adult Education from St. Francis-Xavier University.
